Fatherhood

Growing up without a present father in my life has shaped my unique journey into fatherhood. Relying on my single-parent mom for guidance, I had to navigate this new identity of being a father without a true point of reference for an authentically present father. As I've developed my approach to fatherhood for both a daughter and a son, I've learned to embrace vulnerability, confidence, influence, and clarity in my authentic self as a father.

Navigating Fatherhood

Being a father comes with its own unique set of challenges, some of which we can prepare for, while others catch us off guard. Fathers often grapple with finding their place within the family, which can leave them feeling lost or confined to a specific role.

As fathers, we also have our own emotional experiences that may not always receive the attention they deserve. These feelings of being misplaced or overlooked can lead to frustration or the tendency to stretch ourselves too thin, which can prevent us from authentically expressing who we are.

In my work with fathers, I strive to create a supportive environment where we can find comfort and understanding through shared experiences of navigating fatherhood. I aim to provide a space where we can openly express our thoughts and feelings, learn to process them, and leave with a renewed sense of clarity about our identity as fathers.

Current or soon-to-be fathers will gain insights into their relationship with concepts of "Power and control," feelings of inadequacy, establishing their source of love, managing feelings of guilt/shame, learning to apply grace, and envisioning their legacy.
